Creativity at a crossroads

Intentionally weaving the arts, figurative painting, and humanities  into my  academic career in medicine is the most remarkable gift. In a profession that too often benefits  from the burnout of its clinical professionals, I remain committed to creating space for others in medicine and beyond to reconnect and recommit to the creative within.

Acrylic paints are my preferred tool but I love the ease and flexibility digital images offer.  My work layers persona, celebrity, fashion, design, and symbols into a narrative that connects to both the sitter and artist. 

We are complex and influenced by everything around us - some things we choose and some we don’t - choose wisely.
